YANULIS, FR. PHILIP

Father Philip E. Yanulis was born on June 8, 1951 in Syracuse, NY.  After graduating West Genesee High School June, 1969, he attending Syracuse University and received a Bachelor Degree in Music in May, 1973.
 
Father Philip was accepted in the Master of Divinity Program at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.  He attended that school from September, 1973 to May, 1976.

​Between May, 1976 and May 1980, Father Philip traveled to Greece and studied Church History, Liturgical Theology and Music at the University of Thessaloniki (Spring, of 1977) as an auditor.  In September, 1979 to May, 1980 Father Philip attending St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Seminary in its Master in Theology program majoring in Liturgical Theology and Music.
 
In May, 1980 Fr. Philip received a Master of Divinity Degree from Holy Cross.
 
On July 8, 1984 Fr. Philip married the former Connie Cannellos also born and raised in Syracuse, NY.  They have four wonderful daughters: Connie Nicole, Danielle Lynn, Christina Larissa and Stephanie Alexandra.
 
Fr. Philip was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on Sunday of Saint Thomas in the year 1995 by Bishop Timothy of Detroit.
 
Fr. Philip has a pension consulting firm that was established in 1986. Due to this, he serves as a supply priest, for the Metropolis.  Fr. Philip was asked to service the parish of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Watertown, NY in February, 1997 which he is serving to this day providing weekly Divine Liturgies and other sacraments of the Church.
