Father Stratton Dorozenski was raised in Stratford, Connecticut and participated in the parish life at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He attended Hellenic College and the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts from 1970-1977 and received The Degree of Master of Divinity with Distinction. He was ordained to the Holy Diaconate on June 26, 1977 by His Grace Bishop Silas and to the Holy Priesthood on July 3, 1977 by His Grace Bishop Demetrios of Olympus.
Father Stratton was assigned by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese to the Holy Trinity/Prophet Elias Churches in Salt Lake City, Utah as the assistant priest from 1977-1980. From 1980 to the present, Father has served the Holy Metropolis (Diocese) of Detroit in the parishes of St. Demetrios in Saginaw, Michigan from 1980-1985, Annunciation in Dayton, Ohio from 1985-2001, and Saint Nicholas in Troy, Michigan since 2001. Presently, he serves on the Metropolis Council and is the chairperson of the Archdiocese Benefits Committee. Father Stratton received the Offikia of Oikonomos from His Grace Bishop Timothy (of blessed memory) on October 26, 1984, and Protopresbyter from His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Detroit on April 23, 2000. He is married to Denise (nee: Dannes) and has two married daughters, Tia (Timothy) L’Hommedieu and Stacey (Andreas) Katsaros. |
