Fr. Jarrod Russell serves as the Parish Priest of the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Jamestown, New York.
Fr. Jarrod was received into the Orthodox Church at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2005. With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Detroit, Fr. Jarrod entered Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in 2010.
He graduated from Holy Cross in May of 2014 with the degree of Master of Divinity, with high distinction. During the school year of 2014-15, he completed the class work for the Master of Theology program at Holy Cross. On August 23, 2015, Fr. Jarrod was ordained to the Holy Diaconate by His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas at the Annunciation Church in Little Rock. On September 20, 2015, Fr. Jarrod was ordained to the Holy Priesthood by His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Carmel, Indiana. Fr. Jarrod served as the Assistant Priest of the Holy Trinity Church until his assignment to the Saint Nicholas Church effective August 1, 2016.
Fr. Jarrod is also a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University (now known as Missouri State University) and the University of Arkansas School of Law. He practiced law in Arkansas for nine years prior to entering Holy Cross and remains licensed to practice law before all Arkansas federal and state courts.
