Born in 1977 in South Bend, IN, Fr. Andrew Walsh graduated from Hellenic College in May 2003 and then enrolled in Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. In May of 2004 he graduated from Holy Cross with an M.Div with high honors. On August 14th 2004 Father Andrew was ordained by Metropolitan Iakovos of Chicago to the Holy Diaconate at St. Andrew's Greek Orthodox Church in South Bend, IN. He was later ordained a priest by Metropolitan Alexios on December 19th 2004 in Charlotte, NC at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. On January 1st 2005, Fr. Andrew was assigned as the assistant priest at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. He served for one year at Holy Trinity then was assigned as the presiding priest at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Springfield, OH in 2007. In the fall of 2007, Fr. Andrew was accepted to the graduate school of The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH where he pursued a masters degree in social work with an emphasis in counseling. He is married to Presbytera Sophia Walsh from South Bend, IN. Fr. Andrew is currently the presiding priest at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Ft. Wayne, IN.
