Fr. James Honeycutt was born in 1976 and lived throughout America during the 20 years his dad served in the U.S. Air Force. He is a graduate of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology (M.Div.), with additional education including a master's degree (M.S.W.) in clinical practice from the University of Tennessee and a doctorate (D.Min.) in marriage and family therapy from Palmer Theological Seminary of Eastern University. He is a licensed mental health professional who began treating patients in 2004 and has spoken at various national conferences on the integration of Christian spirituality and psychology.
Father James currently serves as the presiding priest of Annunciation Church in Muskegon, MI. He is married to Presbytera Julie (Schmidt) from Hendersonville, TN, who is also a licensed psychotherapist with a private counseling practice in Grand Haven, MI. In his spare time, Father James enjoys fishing, kayaking, reading, watching movies, and playing Native American flute.
