Rev. Protopresbyter Pierre Delfos was born in Alexandria, Egypt on June 6th 1925. He graduated from the Pythagoras Patriarchal School and during World War II went on to serve on two legendary ships of the Greek Navy, the Averof and the Ierax. After the war, he enrolled and graduated from the Lycee in France, after which he moved to London Ontario, Canada where he met and married Presbytera Harriet and they had two children – Eva Marie and Andrew.
In 1969, he graduated from Holy Cross School of Theology in Brookline with ‘Distinction’. Later that same year, Bishop Theodosius of Angona ordained him to the deaconate and priesthood. From that moment on, he has been a tireless priest serving parishes throughout the US and Canada for 40 years. His priestly ministry led him to the Annunciation in Little Rock in 1981 and when he retired, he decided to make Little Rock his home.
Though he retired from his full time priestly duties in the 1990’s, his steadfast love for the Lord and the Church led him in 1991 to embrace the duty of ministering unto the small parish of the Life-Giving Spring in Hot Springs, Arkansas until April 2012.
